I never had any trouble with it but i also didn't have it long and wouldn't trust it for the long haul. Then, the tubes began to play dead. I'd rather have a peavey valveking than a blues junior (i've had both).

Have Checked Power Cord Even Tried Different Ones.

To test this, i also tried the windsor head, but it only comes from the valveking. If the noise persists, output tubes or worse. It came in completely dead and inspection revealed a shorted power tube and a blown filament fuse on the board.

I Just Purchased A Used Peavey Valveking 112 Today From A Local Music Shop And And Seems To Have Multiple Problems.

The gear sees light to moderate use, never thrashed. Could be as simple as one bad power tube, could be as difficult as one or more bad solder joints on the circuit board needing work. *the amp sounds a little grainy/gritty on the lead channel.

The Peavey's (At Least Some) Use Series Heater Circuits.the Valveking Has Rectified Dc Heaters And Might Have Separate Series Heater Circuits For The Preamp Board And Power Boards.

Peavey valve king 100 doesn't seem to be getting power.no power light or any kind/type of sound. If the noise stops when master is turned down, your in luck, preamp (s). If it is just the ht fuse then chances are it is a power output valve/valves gone faulty and replacement should fix the issue.

These Amps Have Some Smt (Surface Mount Tech) Components, Though.

Those require specialized tools to work on if one of those is bad. I'll answer this question in just a moment, but first lets go over the features. The vk i had was a 1 x 12 50 watter made in vietnam (a few years ago).

So I Replaced The Power Tubes.

It had a decent clean fendery blackface sound, and was switchable to a decent distortion sound. Turn your gain/preamp volume way up, and slowly turn your master/poweramp volume down. If it is the mains fuse then that could be a transformer failing or something fairly expensive and you would be best get it to an amp tech asap in that case.
